Mr. Sunil Valavalkar was always filled with athleticism. He was a popular player of kho-kho and kabaddi in his school and college. After completing his education, he joined the General Insurance Corporation (GIC) which is a government-backed company, and served a period of 25 years. Taken aback by his exceptional skills, his employers asked him to form a sports team. So many players who rose from his team later got amazing work opportunities with the government and were able to convert their passion into their work.

Greetings! I’m Sunil Valavalkar , a sports innovator, trend spotter, social activist, communicator, global citizen all bundled into one. I am the founder of All India Pickleball Association (AIPA) , a sport which is reimagining and redefining the sporting landscape in India as well as globally. I was also instrumental in setting up of the International Pickleball Federation and Asian Pickleball Federation , as its co-founder.
I am also the Executive Director at Yuvak Biradari, a national award winning organization operating in the domain of social development pan-India. My passion for the medium of Media has seen me anchoring live events on the subject of financial literacy for Loksatta and as a prolific columnist with Lokmat. My articles with Saptahik Sakal were very popular with its reader base and received lots of adulation and also i was regurarly writing letters to editors which later took the shape of a book named ” Letter to editor”.
I am also a teacher at heart and adroit at Soft Skill training for the youth and business. I cherish the goals of humanity and nation building and am motivated to continue playing the role of a catalyst towards making our country a happy and healthy nation.
